Oak Point Farm Universal Access Trail Network

Boothbay Region Land Trust

Kennebec Trail Company worked closely with land trust leadership to realize the organization’s accessibility goals for Oak Point Farm, the last remaining undeveloped saltwater farm in Boothbay Harbor with over 2,000 feet of coastline and an assortment of natural habitats across a varied landscape. The project required extensive planning and permitting, a light construction footprint and erosion control BMPs given the adjacency of protected resources, an array of strategies for ensuring positive drainage, interaction with preserve visitors, and development of accessible parking at the trail head.
